Finance Officer to the Circuit and Churches Within the Circuit

 

Job Purpose and Objectives

This part-time job (two days a week 08:30 – 16:30) will be paid at £15.78 per hour (London living wage +20%) the equivalent of £28,719 pa (pro-rata) plus auto-enrolment in a contributory pension scheme, where eligible. 28 days annual leave entitlement (including bank holidays) per year (12 days pro-rata).


The job is to support the treasurer of the Barnet and Queensbury Circuit and Local Church treasurers in running of the accounts for them - administering the accounts, undertaking the invoicing and recording of the bookings for churches, maintaining the accounts and working with the Circuit Treasurer and the local church treasurers producing budgets, end of year accounts and monthly statements of accounts to the relevant trustee bodies.


Good IT skills (Word, Excel) bookkeeping experience, experience with cloud-based accounting package including accrual accounting, working well with people and organisation skills are key.


Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) disclosure, satisfactory references and completion of up to three-month probationary period.
