Testimonies

Former staff members tell us what it was like to be a part of the District Family.

I worked for the London District for over 5 years and enjoyed my time there in many ways. Its location of being just a few minutes walk away from either Westminster or St James’s Park tube stations was useful, as was the brief walking distance from Victoria Station on the days I felt more energetic.

The proximity of the office, to sites of international interest such as Parliament Square, Big Ben and St James’s Park/Buckingham Palace, added to the pleasure of having an office located within the landmark site of Methodist Central Hall.

The office environment is friendly and flexible, where your input as a team member is valued and individual achievements are celebrated.

The experience of working with the London District Team has given me the opportunity to build great relationships with colleagues that I expect to be longstanding.

Kathleen Henriques-Brown

Former Property Development Officer

The District Office in Methodist Central Hall is a wonderful place to work. Both the building and its surrounds are beautiful, with Westminster Abbey and St James’s Park next door neighbours.

What makes working here special though, is the warmth and friendliness of the District Team. You will feel at the heart of the work and mission of LDMC with visitors from across the District popping into the office most days.

There’s always an interesting conversation to be had and I’ve valued being able to collaborate with my colleagues and bounce ideas around, as well as finding the office a peaceful space for focus. I will miss everyone!

Joanna Kelly

Former Project Coordinator

A central location in the heart of all the action, spacious and comfortable offices and a great team to work with who know what's important but when to have some fun.

A professional approach to all aspects of work and a willingness to support each other by going the extra mile. The team work well together in a collective way so we can achieve our goals without (too much) stress!

Grahame Snelling

Former District Safeguarding Officer
