Synod
Presbyteral Synod
The Presbyteral Synod is a meeting of the 200 plus presbyters in the District that meets annually in the Spring. At this time the Presbyters discuss the life of the church, especially any matters that come from the Conference. They receive reports about candidates and ordinands for the ministry, they hear testimony from presbyters who are retiring and obituaries of colleagues who have died in the last year, and they renew their commitment to their ministry.

Representative Synod
Made up of local ministers and lay members who have been elected by their churches, the London District Representative Synod has almost 400 voting members which meet twice a year in spring and autumn at Methodist Central Hall, Westminster. Everyone is welcome to attend the Representative Synod, although non-registered attendees will be unable to vote on the business.
Its work is co-ordinated by the District Chairs, Synod Secretary and Synod Planning Group. For further information please contact the Synod Secretary, John Logan.
