Welcome to the safeguarding training page. Here you will find information on various safeguarding training and events available throughout the District. Please note that all training registration will now be accessible on this page and no longer through Eventbrite.
Training information will continue to be advertised via the Weekly Update where necessary, but please do remember to check this page on a regular basis to see what events we have available.
Advanced Module (online version)
The online version of the Advanced Module is comprised of two parts:
1. the online modules which must be completed on the MCBX platform
2. attendance at a Gathered session - a zoom meeting to consolidate your learning
Both elements must be completed in order for you to be provided with a certificate. Please note that if you complete the online version of the Advanced Module, you are not required to attend an in-person session.
The course must be renewed every four years. You will not be required to re-take the Foundation Module if you have completed the Advanced Module, but please be aware that you are required to complete the Foundation Module prior to undertaking the Advanced Module for the first time.
Completion of the Advanced Module is compulsory for certain roles within the church. Please see the Required Attendance List here.
