Children's Mental Health Week | 05 - 11 February

Childrens Mental Health Week

5th – 11th February 2024

Theme: ‘My Voice Matters’

Children's Mental Health Week is a mental health awareness week that empowers, equips, and gives a voice to all children and young people in the UK. The aim is that no child or young person has to face mental health problems alone.

During this week, we want to encourage that whoever they are, their voice matters. When we feel empowered, this can have a positive impact on our wellbeing. Children and young people who feel that their voices are heard have a greater sense of community and self-esteem.

By working to create a positive change, listening to each other, and embracing individual differences, children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can begin to recognise changes in their mental health and wellbeing.

Adults need to empower children and young people, and provide them with time, space, and opportunities to express themselves.

Families, parents, and carers can get involved! The link below will direct you to resources to help you open up conversations, including information on what support they need from you.
