CTSL Gathering - Wednesday 15th November 7pm, Trinity House, Chapel Court, Borough High Street, London SE1 1HW Focus on knife crime with Rev. Nims Obunge MBE DL Rev Nims Obunge MBE DL will facilitate an evening of information-sharing, networking and prayerful action-planning. Following CTSL's last big gathering in May, a number of church leaders asked CTSL to look at the urgent issue of knife crime on our streets, in particular affecting young people. CTSL's Vice Chair, Bishop Karowei Dorgu, has invited Pastor Nims who is on the Independent Knife and Violent Crime Reduction Board chaired by Neville Lawrence and working with the Metropolitan Police. The Met have been invited to join the event as we discuss ways of working together across borough networks. We will also be joined by Pastor Ben Lindsay who is spearheading ecumenical work to tackle knife crime in Lewisham borough, and by XLP who work with young people exposed to gang culture and criminality across 4 South London boroughs. Please encourage young people to come along who are keen to be a part of this conversation, especially if they feel impacted personally by this issue. There will be a light buffet available from 6pm beforehand for anyone who would like to come early.
