The MHA was founded in 1943 by a group of Methodists who wanted to improve the quality of life of older people. The MHA continues to have strong support from Methodists and the London District would like to encourage churches and Circuits within the District to support the great work that MHA Do. The MHA have an annual service of worship called Methodist Homes Sunday, the theme for this year is Best Sunday for Ages 2017, which is taking place on Sunday, 11th June. The theme of worship this year is Befriending Age and looks at ways in which they can help one another to support older members of the Methodist church and society. MHA works with older members of the community in order to learn invaluable information which how best to plan for our own ageing journey. MHA have some fantastic Worship Resources, which include an Order of Service that can be used for Local Arrangement services, prayers, hymns, stories and links to video clips of MHA’s work which are available to download here.
